| 産地： | Chlorostoma rustica is commonly distributed along the coast in Dalian, Zhoushan Islands, found on the rock floor of 20 meters depth and low tide zone, fed on algae. |
| 特徴： | The shell is conic, hard and thick. it may reach about 15~25 mm high with about 6~7 layers, rapidly increasing from the top to the bottom. It has low and flat body whorl. The surface of the shell form oblique rows rib with significant lines of each layer. The surface of the shell is brown with rust markings. The inner surface is hoar, with pearl lustre.
The shell is thick, up to 3.5cm in diameter and has pronounced tangential ribbing. It usually has a drab, dark purple-brown exterior and a nacreous interior with a greenish umbilicus usually just sealed. The mouth has a smooth outer tip and one columella tooth. The operculum is thin and corneous. |
